This week is 'Mental Health Awareness Week' in Scoil an Linbh Íosa. Our Amber Flag Committee and staff members have been busy promoting positive mental health and wellbeing strategies throughout the school as part of the Amber Flag initiative.
Each day this week, every class will be participating in a variety of activities which aim to support our wellbeing and create an awareness of the importance of positive mental health.
Our Amber Flag committee have also organised an 'Inside Out Day' on Friday, 24th March to raise funds for Pieta. Pieta is an organisation that work tirelessly to provide support for those who are struggling with their mental health. This is a non-uniform day where pupils are asked to wear their clothing inside out or colourful clothing. We hope this will reflect an important message that how someone looks on the outside isn't always how they are feeling on the inside. We must always be kind.
