Last week, we celebrated 'Mental Health Awareness Week' throughout our school. Pupils and staff were busy creating and fostering an awareness of the importance of positive mental health and teaching strategies that help us to look after our own wellbeing.
We participated in lots of enjoyable activities at school and at home, such as mindful colouring, the daily mile, yoga, exercise, art competitions and wellbeing homework. Each class spent time reflecting on all we have to be thankful and grateful for. We finished the week by hosting an 'Inside Out Day' to raise funds for Pieta. All children and staff wore bright colours and items of clothing inside out.
The Amber Flag Committee would like to thank their fellow classmates and teachers for actively participating in and supporting our 'Mental Health Awareness Week' in Scoil an Linbh Íosa.
