The Junior Infants were treated to a visit from John and Kathryn from the Bluestack Veterinary Clinic. John and Kathryn explained to the children all about their busy jobs and how they help to look after animals. They explained that animals can get sick just like humans! Spring time is a very busy time as all the farm animals are having babies like lambs, calves, piglets, foals and chicks. John was up early this morning because he got a call from a farmer who wanted help with a ewe. John helped to deliver triplet lambs. Kathryn told the children that she is helping a zebra in the Errigal Pet Farm in Gweedore this weekend.
The children had lots of interesting questions for the vets about their pets and some exotic animals too! We would like to thank John and Kathryn for coming in and telling us all about their important work.
